Complications

I never thought that writing a Monopoly blog would be so much work. I did some research in the very beginning to make sure there would be enough topics for me to write about. The more I research, the more games popped up. I thought I had a complete listing of the games I wanted to cover. While writing about the Monopoly card games, I realized that 3 more exists. I had not realized Monopoly Deal had a Millionaire version. It is considered a rare game, and used versions start around $30 on ebay. Luckily I was able to download the instructions and will be able to write my post without owning the game. However I'm unsure if it should be a new post or an update to the original Monopoly Deal post. I also owned a thrifted version of Monopoly Millionaire Edition, but donated it back with out writing a post about it. It seemed somewhat complicated, I would have to play the game with others to properly cover it. I decided it was too much work and since it wasn't on my original list it could simply fall under versions with different art work. I find myself regretting donating the game. Perhaps I was supposed to write a post covering both the Millionaire board game and card game. And was this at all related to the popular TV show, "Who wants to be a Millionaire?"

I still have the more complicated games to write about. I fear that the more research I do, the more will be added to my "to write" list. I'm hoping to be done writing about the games on my list by June. I will then focus on playing the versions I own, mainly the card games. It would be nice to write some more indepth articles on these games. I have also been collecting various "house rules" from friends and hoping to try those in real life game play.

I'm not likely to run out of material anytime soon. I have yet to touch electronic versions of the game. There are PC games, online, video games, apps, and casino slots. In terms of history there is still the Landlord's Game, Atlantic City locations from the traditional board and the McDonald's Monopoly phenomenon.

This is the first one of my blogs I've tried to monetize.  However my hard work will be in vain, since AdSense has deemed my blog filler material. I still find my research interesting. It's definitely a learning experience and my writing skills are improving. So, I press on!
